Meet William Sybers, DVM

 In Andes-Straley Veterinary Hospital

With the unique experience of having grown up on the sunny Florida beaches as well as the cornfields of Iowa, Dr. Bill Sybers truly has some stories to tell. Before going to veterinary school in beautiful St. Kitts at Ross University, Dr. Sybers worked as an editor for a decade. Having gone to college to be an editor, this job took him to many different places. He has lived in many different places including Baltimore, the Navajo Nation in Arizona, Virginia, St. Kitts, Johnson City and now Kingsport, Tennessee. It has been a real whirlwind with some great experiences and stories in each place, but after he and his wife Patty moved to Virginia he began to feel the itch to take care of animals professionally.

After veterinary school Dr. Sybers moved again and worked for 11 years at Robinson Animal Hospital in Johnson City, Tennessee. With his wife, four children 13 dogs and cats, a rabbit and more than 20 chickens, he headed to Kingsport and has worked since September 2018 at the Andes-Straley Veterinary Hospital. These great life experiences in many wonderful places have led Dr. Sybers to have a greater appreciation for people in many different parts of the country and the world. But no matter how different people may be in various parts of the country and the world, animals are always a constant. Dr. Sybers and his wife Patty have a long history of animal rescue, opening their home to animals truly in need.

Life isn’t about editing words professionally for Dr. Sybers any longer. Today he is proud to work with animals for a living giving them the proper healthcare they deserve. Contact us to schedule your appointment with Dr. Sybers, who will gladly take care of your pets as if they were his very own.
